Using websites like Facebook to post information has the added advantage of creating a network of interested consumers who will essentially advertise the business for free. Facebook and other social media links also tend to rise to the top of search lists.

Articles and press releases posted online can help maintain a positive image. These articles can announce new products or services, or update interested parties about personnel changes and company expansion plans. Press releases about sales specials or awards received will also contribute to a positive online impression. Articles can be posted on the company?s blog or news tab. They can also be submitted to third party aggregate news sites or online trade journals. Positive stories can be written by marketing staff, or a reputation management company can be hired to handle publicity.
